Hepatitis B can have a long-term impact on liver health. Without timely follow-up, it may increase the risk of serious complications such as cirrhosis and liver cancer. Starting from March 2026, Islands DHC Express launched the Chronic Disease Co-Care Scheme (Hepatitis B Screening) to provide screening and treatment support for higher-risk individuals, helping them understand their health status early and establish an ongoing, systematic health management plan.
Under the Scheme, our nurses will conduct a hepatitis B risk assessment and provide a free hepatitis B rapid diagnosis test (RDT). If the RDT result is Positive, further screening and laboratory investigation by family doctors will be arranged.
The Scheme is suitable for Hong Kong residents born in or before 1988 whose family members or sexual partners have chronic hepatitis B, and who have not been diagnosed with chronic hepatitis B, have no related symptoms, and have not completed a full course of hepatitis B vaccination.
